  1. WMRC Annual Report 2013-2014 now available.

    The WMRC's Annual Report 2013-2014 has been published.

    Below are some of the highlights for the year:

    • During 2013/2014, a total of 41,077 tonnes of waste was received at the JFR (Jim) McGeough Resource Recovery Facility. This consisted of: 33,841 tonnes of putrescible waste (including AWT-related tonnes); 7,122 ton

  6. Mattresses get a new spring at WMRC's transfer station.

    Mattresses can now be recycled at the Western Metropolitan Regional Council’s (WMRC) Transfer Station in Shenton Park.

  7. New recycling stations a hit

    Six recycling stations have been installed around the western suburbs to make it easier for residents to dispose of items which are recyclable, but cannot go into kerbside bins.
